(SLAM) welcomes decision to place all forces under (SAF) law
(SLAM) Sudan Liberation Armey Movement – Khartoum Highlight – Major General Adam Younis Hamid, Central Sector Commander of the Sudan Liberation Armey Movement (SLAM) , welcomed General Burhan’s latest decision. The decree requires all auxiliary and armed groups to operate under the Armed Forces law. Younis described the move as timely and appropriate, calling it a starting point for implementing Juba Peace Agreement security arrangements.
He revealed to Khartoum Highlight that the movement had already begun integrating many of its troops into the army.
This process included completing official recruitment forms (A5A) to formally join the ranks of the Sudanese Armed Forces. He stressed that subjecting their forces to army law strengthens command and control, while unifying multiple armies under one structure. Younis added that this step lays the foundation for building a national army with a unified doctrine and mission.
