Al-Burhan Reshuffles Sudan Army, Retires Senior Officers

Khartoum Highlights – Sudan’s army chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, announced a major military Reshuffles , forming a new General Staff and retiring senior officers. Among those retired are Major General Abbas Hassan Abbas Al-Daruti and Major General Abdelmahmoud Hamad Hussein Ajami, both long-serving officers.
Lieutenant General Mohamed Osman al-Hussein was appointed Chief of Staff, marking a significant leadership Reshuffles within the Sudan Army hierarchy.
Other appointments included Lieutenant General Magdi Ibrahim as Deputy Chief for Logistics, and Lieutenant General Khalid Abideen as Deputy for Training. Lieutenant General Abdelkhair Abdullah became Deputy Chief for Administration, while Lieutenant General Mohamed Ali Ahmed Subair now heads military intelligence.
Promotions included Lieutenant General Moatasem Abbas as Inspector General, and Lieutenant General Ali Ajabna as Air Force Commander. Lieutenant General Zakaria Ibrahim was named Director of Medical Services, and Major General Omar Sir al-Khatim became Air Defense Commander.
