Minawi :We are the Khartoum government The Crawl is coming
Positive Egyptian stance; welcoming a new chapter with the UAE
Khartoum Highlight – Darfur governor in De facto authority in Port Sudan, head of the Sudan Liberation Army/Movement Minni Arko Minawi said hunger in El Fasher resulted from the RSF siege.
He explained that the RSF refused to lift the blockade. They also rejected the recently proposed ceasefire. Many organizations tried to enter El Fasher to provide aid. However, “supplies were burned, looted, and stolen by the RSF,” Minawe said.
He confirmed that joint forces with the Popular Resistance and the army are fighting bravely in El Fasher. Responding to DW Germany’s question about support from the government and army, Minawe said, “We are the Khartoum government.” He noted, “The army is working with limited capabilities, and the advance is coming.” He welcomed all international and UN investigations into war crimes. Minawi added, “We have extensive information to provide. Rape, arson, and mass killings are part of the RSF’s culture. He stressed that this culture comes from its leadership, guiding these forces since 2003.
Minawi told DW Germany that Sudan is not isolated from the Arab and African regions. He said Sudan is affected by malicious schemes that divided Libya and Yemen and now threaten to divide Sudan.
Minawi expressed satisfaction with Egypt’s stance, saying, “The Egyptian position is positive, standing with the Sudanese people and its institutions.” He added, “The UAE has become part of the war. We welcome opening a new chapter with them if they engage the Sudanese government.” He referred to the de facto authority in Port Sudan.
