Malik Agar : The War Will End Through Reconciliation

Khartoum Highlight – General Malik Agar, leader of the SPLM-N (Agar faction), said the war in Sudan will end through reconciliation. He stressed that Sudan needs reconciliation and forgetting the past to resolve its crises. Agar’s remarks contrast with those of the army commander, who declared the war would only end with the defeat of every “rebel” soldier — referring to the Rapid Support Forces. “We want to use weapons for the benefit of the Sudanese people,” Agar said. “Reconciliation is essential to forget the past and to end the war.”
