Babiker Faisal, head of the Executive Office of the Federal Gathering Party, described the Islamic Movement as a “fascist terrorist group”. He said it only believes in armed power, refuses to accept its fall from power, and disregards the revolution. Faisal stressed that those calling for including the movement in the political process are either naïve or complicit. He accused them of benefiting from its destructive war and rampant corruption. He explained in a Facebook post that the threat of Sudan’s division is no longer theoretical . But a lived political and emotional reality. Faisal affirmed that they have long warned about this danger. “The continuation of war is the primary threat to Sudan’s unity.”
Faisal warned that both warring parties are preparing weapons and fighters for another brutal confrontation after the rainy season ends. He predicted that Kordofan will be the next battlefield of blood, fire, and displacement.
Call for an independent investigation:
Faisal stressed that they were the first to call for an independent international investigation into accusations of war crimes, genocide . And crimes against humanity. Faisal also demanded inquiries into the use of banned weapons. “This call,” he added, “is rejected only by those who fear exposure of their crimes.”
Faisal added: “There is no political solution on the horizon to end the war due to a lack of will. The lovers of killing and ravens of ruin are preparing to bury the Quartet Initiative. As they did with the Manama Agreement. No consolation for the bereaved, displaced, and starving. He emphasized that the realities of suffering, combined with economic indicators, exchange rates, and production figures. This reveal the depth of the crisis. He said these hardships are far greater than the lies, illusions, and propaganda spread . “To numb powerless citizens, who listen with bitter smiles as if pulling wilted roses from thorns.”
