The Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolution Forces urged the UN and partner states to separate legitimacy from stopping the war. It said international responses granting legitimacy to warring parties have prolonged conflict. They worsened civilian suffering, and legitimized a military solution. During a meeting with UN envoy Ramtane Lamamra in Nairobi, Somoud called for stronger UN efforts to end the war.

They stressed prioritizing civilian protection, humanitarian aid delivery , And launching an inclusive political process for peace and stability in Sudan and the region. The delegation explained how Port Sudan’s de facto authority politicized the judiciary to punish anti-war voices as political opponents. They said fabricated charges were filed against Somoud leaders. They blocking issuance of identification documents to them and hundreds of thousands of citizens. Somoud accused the Port Sudan authority of targeting people based on geography or ethnicity. Further deepening injustice amid the ongoing conflict.
