“Shambat Resistance Committee”: Absence of Authorities Worsens Health Conditions

Khartoum Highlight- “Shambat Resistance Committee” stressed the urgent need for authorities to act in support of citizens. The area suffers from widespread mosquitoes, insects, and disease carriers, leading to fevers, malaria, and infections among residents. The committee said the lack of a clear plan to drain rainwater and spray pesticides has created stagnant pools, a breeding ground for mosquitoes and insects. It appealed to the authorities to fulfill their responsibility in protecting citizens and providing basic services.
