Al-Burhan Orders Auxiliary Forces to Come Under Army Command
Khartoum Highlight – General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, has issued a decree placing all Auxiliary Forces operating alongside the army . Under the provisions of the Sudanese Armed Forces Act of 2007 and its amendments. The decision, which takes effect on August 16, 2025, reaffirms the rule of law and aims to strengthen command and control.
According to the decree, all Auxiliary Forces will fall under the authority of army commanders across different regions, and members of these forces will be subject to military law.
