19 Dead in River Nile… 4 Children Killed in El Obeid as Heavy Rains Hit Sudan
Khartoum Highlight- Four children were killed in El Obeid, North Kordofan’s capital, when a neighbor’s wall collapsed on them during heavy rains. Eyewitnesses told Khartoum Highlight the children died instantly. Their bodies were transferred to El Obeid Hospital morgue for autopsy and burial procedures.
In River Nile State, the Civil Defense Operations Room confirmed the death toll from heavy rains has risen to 19 Dead. The figure increased after seven new deaths were recorded in Al-Damer and Shendi localities. The rains struck parts of the state early Wednesday, triggering flash floods and destruction.
