140 trucks Sent by the UNHCR to support those affected by the war
UNHCR Sends Aid Through Chad – Khartoum Highlight – The UN Refugee Agency announced the delivery of over 140 trucks carrying 41,350 relief kits into Sudan from Chad since August 2023. Each kit contains essential items: kitchen sets, blankets, jerrycans, mosquito nets, solar lamps, plastic sheeting, and sleeping mats. These supplies provide critical support to families forced to flee the brutal conflict in Darfur. Many lost everything. Communities now face deadly diseases, including cholera, alongside extreme food insecurity and widespread displacement. UNHCR stressed that this operation highlights the importance of humanitarian work and international cooperation. Global solidarity remains vital to ensure affected families receive the help they need to survive, recover, and rebuild their lives.
