Cairo Speeds Up Residency Procedures for Sudanese – Khartoum Highlight
The Sudanese Embassy in Cairo announced that Egypt has approved several requests on residency procedures for Sudanese citizens. Residency permits will now be issued within two weeks from the date of application, the embassy said. Sudanese students will be allowed to register in schools before receiving residency documents. Security approval periods were also reduced to only three days once requirements are met. Applicants told Khartoum Highlight that renewals are now processed faster, sometimes within five days. They noted that this improvement came more than two weeks before the Sudanese ambassador’s announcement.
