Residents in Khartoum State reported a complete shortage of IV fluids in pharmacies across the capital. Locals said paracetamol IV drips disappeared entirely, amid a wide spread of dengue fever and malaria in Khartoum, Bahri, and Omdurman. According to Khartoum Highlight, the price of a paracetamol IV drip reached 30,000 Sudanese pounds on the black market. Almost every household in Khartoum needs IV fluids constantly, as diseases spread rapidly with no government responsibility for healthcare.
