Kordofan Bloody Autumn: Harvest Halted, War Rages : Harvesting Machines Disabled, War Machine Activated-Khartoum Highlight

As the harvest season (“El-Daret”) nears, war continues to reap lives in fertile Kordofan.
Peanuts, sesame, hibiscus, Arabic gum , and oilseeds remain unharvested as war machinery spins, claiming human lives instead. Kordofan’s green plains in the rainy season are stained red with blood from the cursed war. The peaceful region faces a new round of military operations, causing fear and panic among its residents.

The war has raged across Sudan for nearly three years, sparking displacement that is expected to intensify with escalations. Citizens in Um Rawaba reported looting of smartphones and money by forces linked to the Sudanese army. They told Khartoum Highlight they would seek safer areas, fearing killings, arbitrary arrests, and false accusations of collaboration. The city had previously witnessed civilian executions after the Sudanese army seized control.

War Machine Activated:

As rains recede, military operations intensify in Kordofan with mobilization and counter-mobilization by both warring parties. This threatens new towns and regions in Kordofan, already suffering in Sudan’s devastating third year of war. Civilians remain on edge, fearing killings, arrests, treason accusations, displacement, famine, and the war’s devastating consequences. It feels like a war directed against the Sudanese people themselves.

During his visit to El-Obeid, Sudanese army deputy commander supervised military operations with allied forces.
General Kabashi confirmed the arrival of advanced weapons to strengthen operations in Kordofan and break El-Fasher’s siege. Kabashi said operations will not stop until the Rapid Support Forces surrender completely.
Meanwhile, videos showed Rapid Support Forces mobilization with their Tasis Government allies.

Graduation ceremonies for fighters in Nyala and other areas indicate bloody battles looming in the coming days.
Reuters reported Yale’s Humanitarian Research Lab released images of 13 “Delta Wing” suicide drones near Nyala airport. Yale’s confirmed the Tasis Government has made Nyala its capital in South Darfur State.
 The drones reportedly reach 2,000 kilometers, covering all of Sudan.

The Sudanese army announced control over Bara, a strategic town south of El-Obeid in North Kordofan.
Local sources told Khartoum Highlight that Rapid Support Forces remain positioned near Bara’s outskirts, alarming residents. Social media pages linked to the Rapid Support Forces reported arrival of an air defense system in Kordofan. This indicates large-scale mobilization and deployment of modern weapons for bloody battles in the war-torn region.
