Ruto: No Military Solution in Sudan – Khartoum Highlight
Kenyan President William Ruto said in a post on X he received UN envoy for Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra. Ruto explained he was briefed on UN efforts to ensure humanitarian access, calm the war, and support civilian administration. He confirmed Kenya’s commitment to supporting efforts that stop the humanitarian catastrophe, end the war, and restore Sudan’s democratic path. He emphasized returning Sudan to the course set by its citizens during the December 2019 revolution. The Kenyan president reiterated his stance, saying: “There can be no military solution in Sudan.” He urged all parties to put the needs of the people above any other interests.
