Amir Abdul Moneim Appointed as Police Chief – Khartoum Highlight

The Ministry of Interior under de facto authority in Port Sudan issued new decisions of dismissals and promotions. The decisions removed Police Director General, First Lieutenant General Khalid Hassan Mohiuddin, from his position. They appointed First Lieutenant General Amir Abdul Moneim as the new Director General of the Sudanese Police Forces. The police spokesperson confirmed the dismissal of Police General Mohamed Ibrahim from Deputy Director General and Inspector General. The spokesperson also announced the promotion of Major General Taher Ali Mohamed Al-Balloula to Police General. He was appointed Deputy Director General of Police and Inspector General.
