Sudanese Visual Artists Launch ‘Our Hearts in Fasher Sultan’
Solidarity Initiative to support Al-Fasher residents
Khartoum Highlight- Sudanese Visual Artists Union launched an urgent humanitarian and artistic initiative to support Al-Fasher residents under siege. Titled “Our Hearts in Al-Fasher Sultan,” the campaign responds to catastrophic conditions: hunger, shelling, and lack of basic necessities. Children in the city are suffering worsening malnutrition, compounding the humanitarian crisis.
The Union said the initiative answers resilience messages sent by artist Salah Ibrahim from the heart of the suffering. It also affirms the role of Sudanese visual arts in all stages of national struggle, culminating in the December Revolution. The campaign lunched by Sudanese Visual Artists runs for seven to ten days, featuring daily creative and artistic contributions from all participants. It will culminate in an online exhibition at month’s end, uniting visual artists’ voices in a major solidarity appeal for Al-Fasher.
