Kenya Welcomes Quartet’s Statement on Sudan Peace Efforts- Khartoum Highlight
Kenya welcomed the joint statement by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the United States on restoring peace in Sudan. The government said the Quartet’s meeting was a positive step that should gain acceptance from all Sudanese conflict parties. in a statement it noted Sudan’s unprecedented crisis demands collective efforts at regional, and international levels to achieve peace. It renewed its call for a coordinated response from IGAD, the African Union, the UN, the Arab League. And the wider international community. Kenya stressed the need to unify all peace tracks under an Africa-led process backed strongly by the international community.
