Eyewitnesses reported an armed group attacked Souq Sitta in Mayo, south of Khartoum, amid worsening insecurity. The attackers threw a grenade inside the market before looting many mobile phones and other items in broad daylight. Witnesses told Khartoum Highlight no security forces intervened, despite the heavy presence of weapons across the capital.
