The Early Warning Unit, Nile Water Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, issued a red alert for extreme flood risk. The warning applies along the Nile strip due to rising waters from the Blue and White Niles. It will last from Sunday morning until Tuesday evening in Blue Nile, Sennar, Khartoum, River Nile, and White Nile states. Monitoring stations include Khartoum, Shendi, Atbara, Berber, and Jebel Aulia. The unit urged citizens to avoid lowlands, valleys, and roads that may be flooded.It stressed the importance of extreme caution and vigilance.
